Adust Adust played for us at The Old Wharf, Digbeth on May 23rd 2009 The local heroes…a well loved and very popular band who have a big and loyal following…which is well deserved by the way…and not just in Birmingham! An amazing high powered and polished performance that filled the venue to the absolute max…and had every single one of them on their feet and calling for more…they would have been happy to have the guys on stage for the rest of the night!!! The set was dynamic and powerful…delivered with high energy and obvious enjoyment…these guys love being up there…and it shows! By the way…they are through to the semi finals of Bloodstock :)…good luck guys!!!

The golden voiced Isis captivated the room and atmospheric set had all mesmerised…and the very full venue appreciated every moment of it! These are musicians with a long pedigree in the business…and it shows in the brilliant performance they gave! And as an added bonus…the Lovely Isis proceeded to rattle a bucket at the crowd :) and gathered another £40.13 for Acorns!!!

Aphemia played for us in Nottingham at The Salutation Inn on 14th September 2008 This band is hard to pin down! They are very original, melodic, a truly uniqueThis band is hard to pin down! They are very original, melodic, a truly unique intermix of the traditional the completely new. Strong lyrics fit smoothly into drums and guitars that seemed to follow a metal line but then kick off on a tangent and take you completely by surprise!! I am simply not expert enough to try to fit these guys into a niche....or maybe there is no niche to fit them into ;)! Rich, dark, tuneful...I could go on, but maybe you should listen for yourself and form your own opinion!! Well worth the time, and your ears will thank you for it!!

These guys really deserve to go far in the business…and while I am (as you know) not a professional music critic, I DO listen to a lot of bands…and Area are going onto my personal favourites list!!!

(www.myspace.com/ashleyheyes) What can I say? The voice of an angel, set off by an amazing smile from a beautiful face!! This wonderful singer/songwriter commanded our complete attention from the onset, just her and a keyboard on stage, and it needed nothing more. Her melodic flowing love songs, full of wonderfully poetic lyrics, delivered by a voice touched with silver and diamonds...and if you think I am being over generous with the praise here, then go listen for yourself my friends, preferably at a live gig, as she truly is worthy of ANY venue clever enough to book her!!
